ATC Coach exists to help pilots build confidence on the radio through guided communication practice, feedback, and repetition.
By creating an account or using ATC Coach, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and the conditions described below.
Educational Use Only
ATC Coach is a supplemental aviation communication training tool designed to help users practice radio phraseology, improve communication skills, and build confidence when communicating on aviation frequencies.
Our goal is to provide a safe, structured environment where pilots can develop confidence, reduce radio anxiety, and strengthen communication habits through guided practice and feedback.
ATC Coach is not a substitute for:
- Certified flight instruction
- FAA-approved training
- Real-world air traffic control guidance
- Official aviation publications
- Operational decision-making
- Required flight training
FAA Non-Affiliation
ATC Coach is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by:
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
- Any air traffic control authority
- Any airline
- Any airport
- Any flight school
- Any aviation training organization
References to aviation procedures, phraseology, airports, or operations are provided solely for educational purposes.
Minimum Age Requirement
You must be at least sixteen (16) years old to use ATC Coach.
By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
User Responsibility
You remain solely responsible for:
- Flight decisions
- Aviation communications
- Regulatory compliance
- Operational judgment
- Compliance with FAA regulations
- Compliance with local aviation requirements
Always verify information against current FAA publications, airport procedures, NOTAMs, certified flight instructors, and authorized air traffic control personnel before applying any information in real-world operations.
Voice Training and Processing
When you use Voice Mode, your audio may be recorded, transmitted, transcribed, analyzed, and processed to provide:
- Speech transcription
- Readback grading
- Coaching feedback
- Performance analysis
- Service improvements
Voice recordings and transcripts are retained until you delete your account, after which they are removed along with your other account data. Voice recordings may be processed by trusted third-party providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
Artificial Intelligence and Automated Feedback
Coaching feedback, scores, evaluations, recommendations, and training insights may be generated in whole or in part by automated systems and artificial intelligence models.
Such feedback may contain errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or interpretations that are not appropriate for real-world aviation operations. Users should independently verify all information through official aviation sources and qualified instructors.
Intellectual Property
All content within ATC Coach, including but not limited to scenarios, coach personalities, artwork, graphics, audio, voice content, software, code, training materials, visual assets, branding, and user interface elements, is the intellectual property of ATC Coach LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, reverse engineer, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any portion of the Service without prior written permission from ATC Coach LLC.
Account and Data
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account and any access associated with your ATC Coach account.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the app's account management features.
Subscriptions and Billing
ATC Coach offers an optional premium subscription that unlocks additional ranks, scenarios, coaches, and airports beyond the free Student Pilot tier. Current pricing, billing periods, and promotional offers are displayed within the App Store purchase flow at the time of purchase.
A 7-day free trial may be offered to eligible new subscribers. The trial begins at the time of purchase confirmation. If you cancel during the trial period, you will not be charged.
Payment and Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's payment, billing, and subscription policies.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the applicable subscription rate.
Managing Your Subscription
You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase. Cancelling stops future billing but does not refund the current paid subscription period.
Free Trial
Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription before the trial period ends.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies.
Price Changes
Subscription pricing may change from time to time. You will be notified of any price increase before it takes effect and given the opportunity to cancel before the new price applies.
Premium subscriptions provide access to additional educational content and application features only. Purchasing a subscription does not grant any aviation certificate, rating, endorsement, qualification, regulatory approval, or flight privileges.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or use the Service in ways that interfere with the operation of the platform, compromise security, abuse system resources, or negatively impact the experience of other users.
No Warranty
ATC Coach is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We make no guarantees regarding:
- Accuracy
- Completeness
- Reliability
- Availability
- Flight proficiency
- Checkride success
- Communication competency
- Operational safety
Content within the app may be simplified, simulated, incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate for real-world aviation use.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ATC Coach LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers shall not be liable for any damages arising from:
- Use of the Service
- Reliance on training content
- Reliance on AI-generated feedback
- Communication errors
- Flight operations
- Training outcomes
- Certification outcomes
- Service interruptions
- Data loss
You acknowledge that ATC Coach is a supplemental educational tool and is used entirely at your own risk.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to ATC Coach, these Terms, or your use of the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Changes to the Service
ATC Coach may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue features, content, scenarios, coaches, grading systems, subscriptions, or functionality at any time.
